Grape Variety: Primitivo
Alcohol: 15% Vol
Vinification: Elegia is made from Primitivo grapes harvested by hand from 35-50 year-old vineyards planted in Puglia with "ad alberello" and espalier methods. The vinification is done and with the grapes harvested in the middle of September. The maceration takes 2 weeks, while the thermo-controlled alcoholic fermentation lasts at 25℃. The wine then is trasferred into French oak barriques (Allier)for 12 months' ageing.
Colour: Deep ruby red
Bouquet: At nose,firstly hints of ripe blackberries,followed by toasted hazelnuts, shortcrust pastry, ending with delicate notes of rum.
Taste: On the palate it's deep, broad and fruity, characterized by a rich and neat body. Long finish played on toasted notes Food pairing: Excellent with meat, braised beef roast, superb with lamb
