Livio Felluga Illivio DOC

Grape Variety: Pinot Bianco, Chardonnay, Picolit

Alcohol content: 13.5%Vol

Vinification: In the first half of September, the healthy and perfectly ripe grapes are harvested by hand, in small crates, to preserve the integrity of the berry. Carefully destemmed and left to macerate for a short period, the fruit is then soft crushed and the must obtained is allowed to settle. The must ferments at controlledtemperatures in small oak casks. After malolactic fermentation, the wine settles on the lees in the small oak casks for a few months to enhance savouriness, creaminess and aging potential. The bottled wine was aged in temperature-controlled binning cellars.

Colour: Concentrated, bright straw-yellow.

Bouquet: Vibrant and complex, intense and creamy, with marked floral aromas and ripe fruit. The nose opens on notes of lime blossom, broom and chamomile, blending with fruity hints of quince, dried apricot and candied citrus fruits. Ageing in small oak allows delicate sensations of cinnamon, caramel, white pepper and nutmeg.

Taste: Full-bodied, dense, enveloping and with an exotic aftertaste, hints of candied fruit. Aromas of exotic yellow-fleshed fruit such as mango, papaya, percoca and apricot. Creamy aftertaste with notes of lime and mint. Good persistence with a rich and spicy finish.
