About the Role
•Recruiting and managing personnel working on events, including support staff, entertainment staff, liaising and negotiating event vendors, venue staff, etc.
•Carrying out administrative duties such as booking hotels for those working on events and producing event planning documentation
•Setting clear objectives and targets for events, alongside plans for how to meet these
•Helping to promote events and liaising with clients
•Negotiating sponsorship deals
•Handling logistics
•Updating senior management
•Managing branding and communication
•Obtaining permits
•Gathering feedback and data after an event and using it to inform decisions/future plans
•Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts
•Handling budgeting and invoicing
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field 1-2 years of experience in event management, hospitality, PR or branding
Experience managing high-level events, team-building events, industry forums, etc.
Creative thinker and problem solver
Strong communication and planning skills, highly organized
Project management experience, with a solid understanding of event management principles and techniques
Basic knowledge about wine industry, WSET certification is a plus
Experience or understanding of crisis communication principles
